Philip L. Williams, Jr., 63 of Bear passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Phil was born in Wilmington, DE on August 10, 1959, the son of Gladys (Sheats) and the late Philip L. Williams, Sr. He attended Salesianum School and graduated from St. Mark's High School. Phil was a Master Electrician & Plumber and worked as an HVAC Service Manager for Horizon Services Inc. He was a member of St. Dennis Church in Galena, MD, and a former member of St. Margaret of Scotland.
Phil is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen (Evans) Williams; his daughter, Alaina Williams-Cotto and her wife, Kendria of Middletown; his son, Philip L. Williams, III of Naples, FL; his daughters Jackee Wilson and Audrey Wilson both of Wilmington; his granddaughter Trinity Patterson; his mother, Gladys Williams of Bear; his sister, Stephne Williams of Cape Coral, FL; his brother, James Williams of Bear and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Phil will be missed by Pearl, his beloved bulldog, who laid by his side until his last day, as well as Phoenix & Stubby, and Lenny cat.
Phil was an affectionate & devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his family. The bond between he and his granddaughter Trinity was beyond measure. Phil also cherished spending time at his place in Buttonwood Beach on the Elk River with family & friends. Phil adored his friends and every moment he spent with them. Phil loved boating & crabbing in the Elk River and C&D Canal areas throughout his life. Phil also took great pride in his home, keeping his yard and garden immaculate. You could always find Phil being active, or doing something outdoors, and he especially loved driving his big blue Ford F250 that he treasured.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 10:15 to 11:15 at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD. Flowers are appreciated, and donations may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O. Box 62066, Durham, NC 27715.
