Peter L. Salvatore, 76 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Christiana Hospital.

Pete was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Nora Beatrice (Clifton) and Louis E. Salvatore. He graduated from Dickinson High School and served in the Delaware National Guard. Pete was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Local 26/74 for over 50 years and taught plumbing at Delcastle High School for over 27 years. He was a member of the St. Anthony's Holy Name Society and the Prince of Piedmont Lodge and golf league.

In addition to his parents, Pete was predeceased by his wife, Bonita Susan (Palladino) Salvatore in 2021; his son, Louis Victor Salvatore; his sister, Kathaleen Salvatore and his brother, David A. Salvatore.

Pete will be dearly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Tricia Carlson and Matthew Szymanski of Elkton, MD; his son, Peter C. Salvatore of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Austin O'Neill and Chloe Carlson; his sister, Kandi Salvatore of Wilmington; his brothers and their wives, Victor and Susan Salvatore of Hockessin and Robert and Darlene Salvatore of Lewes and his dogs, Louie and Myla.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM and on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 AM. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
