Mr. Peter J. Hahn, age 68 years, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Christiana Hospital.He was the son of the late Paul J. Hahn and Elizabeth Abernethy Hahn. Mr. Hahn was a graduate of Salesianum School, class of 1964. He was employed by the DuPont Company at its Chestnut Run facility for 38 years. Following early retirement, Mr. Hahn was the sole caregiver for his invalid brother.He is survived by his brothers, P. James, Francis and John of Wilmington; his sisters, Patsy of Largo, FL, Joan of Port Orange, FL, Elizabeth of Wilmington, and Jean Manning of Hockessin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert.In early years, Mr. Hahn owned trotters and pacers that he raced at various racetracks. He will always be remembered for his gentlemanly ways, his honesty, and his loyalty to family and friends. Mr. Hahn was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church where he was an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Delaware National Guard.A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, on Tuesday, February 10th. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
