Peter James Gallagher, Jr., age 81, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019.Born in Queens, NY, Peter was the son of the late Peter J. Sr. and Mary A. (McNamee) Gallagher. Peter served his country proudly in the Army. He was a member of Disabled Veterans of America, his local VFW Post, and the American Legion.Peter is survived by his sisters, Helen McHugh of West Chester, PA and Patricia Keenan of Marrowgate, NJ; and his brother, Dominick Corsetti of NY.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the VA doctors, nurses, and staff of the VA Hospital, Elsmere, DE.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE at 11:00 AM. Family and friends may call at the church after 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, 10 Old Church Road,Greenville, DE.
