Paul F. Glenn, Sr, age 99, of Hockessin, DE passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2017 at his residence.Paul was born in Wilmington, DE a son of the late Leticia Linus and Edward I Glenn. He was a 1936 graduate of Salesianum School and graduated from Goldey Beacom College.He was a retired Major of the U.S. Army. He served in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; American Campaign Medal; American Defense Service Medal; World War II Victory Medal; Korean Service Medal; Six Overseas Bars; United Nations Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal; the Bronze Star Medal; Army Occupation Medal (Japan); Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Expert Missileman's Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Commendation Medal. Paul was proud to serve and protect his country.After his military retirement, Paul worked for Wilmington Trust as a Trust Officer. He was a long-time member of St. Mary's Assumption Church in Hockessin where he often assisted in offertory collection. Paul enjoyed people, especially sharing his sense of humor. Paul enjoyed all types of sports and also spent time being a referee for basketball.Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Toulson Glenn; his son, Paul F. Glenn, Jr. of Landenberg, PA; his daughter, Carol A. Glenn and her companion, Duncan Glen Doyle of Hopewell, NJ, his grandson, Paul F. Glenn, III and his granddaughter, Jennifer L.
