Paul E.
Czech, Sr.
January 14, 1962 – December 26, 2025
Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Friend, and Muskrat Trapper
Paul Czech, Sr., age 63, (affectionately known as Spook, White Owl and Whitey) passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on January 14, 1962, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Paul spent his career as a Production Supervisor and Operator, a role he approached with dedication and pride. A hardworking man, he believed in showing up, doing the job right, and providing for his family.
Paul truly enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He followed horse racing daily and loved trips to Delaware Park. He was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Francisco Giants, and he never missed the chance to watch football or wrestling. He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time fishing.
For more than 50 years, Paul fished, hunted, and trapped along the banks of the Christiana River, including many cherished days at Blackie's Marsh muskrat trapping - a place where he felt most at peace. Known as "Mr. Fix-It," Paul was always working on something and would confidently say he would "get it right by the third try."
Paul had a natural gift for conversation. No matter where he went, he always found someone to talk to, often turning the simplest errand into an adventure. Most importantly, Paul always found a way to put a smile on the faces of those he loved. His humor, warmth, and easygoing nature will be deeply missed.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jean Czech; and his brother, Joseph Czech. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Sharon Czech; his children, Tara Barbro, Paul Czech Jr., and Jenna Czech; his brothers, John, Thomas, and Stash Czech; his sister-in-law, Yvonne Miller, and her husband Mitch Miller; nieces Megan Miller, Kelsey Chernick, and Emily Ogbin; great-nieces Millie and Libbie; great-nephew Julius; many other nieces and nephews; and his cherished pets, Deebo and Nala.
Funeral services will be private. A memorial will be scheduled at a future date.
