Patricia (McIntyre) Pembroke. "Pat" Age 87, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at the Brackenville Center nursing home on Saturday, March 5, 2016 surrounded by her family.Born in Toronto, Pat was the daughter of the late Edward McIntyre and Margaret (Taylor) McIntyre. She was married to her beloved husband, John T. Pembroke for 61 years.In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth. She will be dearly missed by son, Michael Pembroke and wife Marcia, grandsons Morgan (Danielle) and Matthew. Son, John Thomas Pembroke II and grandchildren John Thomas III and Jillian all of Newark, DE. Her daughter, Catherine Hines and husband Kenneth of Avondale, PA, grandsons Kenneth Hines Jr (Erin) and Thomas Hines , granddaughter Laura Hines Radcliffe (Kyle) and great grandchildren Reagan Catherine Hines, Kenneth Joseph Hines III and Wilder Atherton Radcliffe.Pat enjoyed UD Football games, Delaware Park, bowling, travel and all forms of card games.The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale at White Chapel for their care during the past four years and also appreciation to the staff at Brackenville Center.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Monday, March 14th between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE. A funeral service will be held immediately following at the same location. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your favorite charity.
