Age 71, of Bear, DE, entered eternity on November 24, 2014.Patricia was born on October 18, 1943 to William Matwey, Sr. and Loretta C. Gliniak of Wilmington, DE.She graduated from Newark High School in 1961. Her employment history was extensive. For 18 years she worked for New Castle County as a crossing guard while also giving loving care to patients at Cokesbury Village and Millcroft Nursing Home. Upon leaving New Castle County, she went through the Correctional Training Academy and began her career at the Department of Correction as an officer. She worked numerous years at Gander Hill and then finished the last 7 years of her career working at the Prices Corner Webb Correctional Facility. In 2004, she retired on medical disability.Pat was pre-deceased by her sons Donald Mark Bullock in 1990; Charles David Bullock in 1999; her father in 1994, and her mother in 2008.She is survived by her daughters Kimberly Bullock at home, her daughter Patricia Bray (David) of NJ, and her beloved granddaughter Charity of Bradenton, FL who she raised as her own. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren including "Big Boy" James Riesz of FL.Her surviving siblings are William Matwey, Jr. (Peggy) of Macungie, PA; Joanne Samans (Walt) of Middletown; and Christine Bekowski of Newark, as well as nieces Paula and Adrienna, and nephew James.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Sunday, November 30th between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11 AM at the funeral home.
