Patricia Riggin Hollis, age 92, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Salisbury, MD passed away on October 31, 2024.

Born in Salisbury, MD, Patricia was the daughter of the late Agnes (Jones) and Leroy Riggin. She graduated from Wicomico High School in Salisbury and went on to attend the Salisbury Business Institute and Goldy Beacom College. Patricia spent time working at Nehi Bottling Company in Salisbury and Metropolitan Life Insurance in Salisbury. She was eventually transferred to the Wilmington office of Met Life, where she led a small insurance team. Patricia went on to spend over 15 years working for the school system, as the Business Manager and Payroll Supervisor for A.I. Dupont followed by Financial Secretary for New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District. She spent many hours volunteering at the Christiana Hospital. If you met her, she would have put a smile on your face with her kindness and sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Earl T. Hollis in 1986 and her sister, Donna in 2023. She is survived by her first cousin, Richard F. Jones Jr., and several second cousins.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately at Arlington National Cemetery where her late husband Earl is resting.
