Patricia Ann (Hynson) Hadfield died peacefully at home, July 12, 2022. She loved spending time with her family. The joy she took in feeding people was matched by her passion for thrift store cookbooks. Pat taught cooking classes at a senior center, tutored kids through a local mentorship program, coached her son's Little League team, and St. Matthew's girls CYO basketball. She rooted for the Phillies and tuned in for the Little League World Series. Pat participated in club athletics, including the Claymore and Midcounty Bowling Leagues. Whether hosting game nights with friends or guessing answers to TV game shows, Pat appreciated company and a little competition, and she won her final game of rummy.

Pat was predeceased by her high school sweetheart, husband of 53 years, and bowling partner, John J. (Jack) Hadfield. She leaves behind four children, John D. Hadfield, Holly Hadfield Aguilar, Paul Hadfield (Beth), and Julie Hadfield (John F. Neifert Jr.); eight grandchildren, Meghan Thompson (Peter), William Muzzi, Justin Muzzi, W. Scott Neifert (Wang Xin), Paul Neifert (Kori), Julianna Hennessy (Michael), Paul K Hadfield Jr., Lydia Hadfield, Dylan Hadfield (Heather), and five great-grandchildren, Claire Neifert, Isabelle Neifert, Summer Neifert, Paul Neifert Jr., and Mick Hennessy.

A memorial for Pat Hadfield will be held at Mealey's Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on August 2, 2022. Visitation from 5:30-7, and a brief service at 7. Pat's ashes will be interred with Jack's at the Veteran's Cemetery in Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, feel welcome to donate in Pat's memory to the Food Bank of Delaware.
