Patricia Ann Downs, 62 of Newark passed away at her home on Friday, January 10, 2020. Patti was born in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Marie (Dougherty) and Ralph N. Golt. She graduated from St. Mark's High School in 1975. Patti had a love of dogs, especially her Labrador Retrievers. Her family was the most important thing in Patti's life, especially her grandchildren. She was like a second Mom to all who knew her. She touched so many lives throughout her 62 years and many people found comfort in talking to her. Her husband, Kevin K. Downs passed away in 2018. Patti will be dearly missed by her daughters, Krista Downs (Marques) of Pike Creek, DE, and Kimberly Downs (Joshua) of Newark, DE; her sons, Joseph Downs (Allyson) of Bear, DE, and Kevin Bruner (Stephanie) of Newark, DE; her grandchildren, Cameron, Sylas, Sophia, Christian, Jayce, Kaleigh, Collin and Kyleigh and her birth mother, Rosalee Painter of Newark, DE. Funeral services will be held at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 11 AM, where friends may call after 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
