Patricia D'Anna

Patricia “Pat” D’Anna, age 87, of Newark, DE, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Born in Temperanceville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Dresser) and Hunter Leitch. Pat worked at the Dupont in the Louvier’s building and then in computer technology at Avon prior to her retirement. She spent over 40 years vacationing at her home in Lewes, Delaware with her family and was an avid reader. Pat and her husband, Vince, were longtime parishioners of St. John’s/Holy Angels parishes in Newark.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her sister, Carlette Wacklo (Bob); and brother, Hunter ‘Hal’ Leitch. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Vincent P. D’Anna; daughter, Lisa D’Anna; grandchildren, Kristina and Brandon Ramirez; niece, Roberta D’Anna; and many cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711. Burial will be held privately.
