Obituary

Pasqueli Louis Muzzi, "Pat", age 94, of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 4, 2022.

Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Mary (Aievoli) and Salvatore "Sam" Muzzi. He was a graduate of Brown Vo Tech High School and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War while stationed in West Germany. After his return from the military, Pat worked as an auto mechanic and owner of Muzzi Brothers service station prior to co-founding Empire Construction with his brother-in-law, Siv Aiello.

He enjoyed spending time with his large family. Pat was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Club and a volunteer for the annual St. Anthony's sports Banquet and the Italian Festival. He enjoyed bowling in the St Anthony's League, golfing, meeting his buddies at Delaware Park Race Track and traveling to Las Vegas with his wife Mary and their friends. Pat ran for state senator in 1974 as "The People's Man".

In addition to his parents, Pat was predeceased by his siblings, Basil Muzzi, Bruno Muzzi and Maryann Peter. He also was predeceased by his brother-in-law and business partner Sylvester Aiello, "Siv".

Pat is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Grace (Contento) Muzzi; his sons and their wives, Salvatore "Sal" and Ann Muzzi, Anthony and Shari Muzzi. His grandchildren, Alicia Muzzi (Gabriel Sandoval), Elena Muzzi (partner, Gerardo Cruz), Anthony P., Nina, and Nicholas Muzzi; his great grandchild, Manuela Sandoval. His siblings, Dominick Muzzi (Judy), Joseph Muzzi and Lucy Green. His sister-in laws, Una Muzzi and Sue Muzzi and Amelia Aiello and her daughters and spouses Bonnie and Dan DiMichele, Judy and Gary Thomas and their children, Dominic, Kristin, Andrew and Sarah and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Monday December 12th from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:30 P.M at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Streets, Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment to follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
