Otim Devon
Kilama
February 13, 1987 – September 22, 2023
Otim Devon Kilama, age 36, passed away on September 22, 2023.
Born in Tucson, AZ, he was the son of Sharon (Lee) Anthony and Dr. John Kilama. After moving to Delaware, Otim attended Saint's Edmond's Academy, Springer Middle School, and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Otim had recently been accepted into the Workforce Training program at Delaware Technical Community College and was looking forward to obtaining his Commercial Driver's License so that he could work while traveling the United States. Otim was currently working at the Big Chill Surf Cantina in Rehoboth Beach.
Otim will be missed for his friendly, respectable, and kind nature. He was a "people person" who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and could be relied on to resolve any tech problem. He will be dearly missed by those closest to him.
Otim is survived by his mother, Sharon Anthony; his father Dr. John Kilama; his step mother, Luz Marina Kilama; his sister, Atim Kilama; and his brother, Oryem Kilama; and a host of cousins and extended family in the United States and Uganda.
A visitation will be held on Saturday September 30th, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with Funeral Services beginning at 11:30 A.M at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. A live webcast and recording can be found below. Burial will be held privately.
