Obituary

Olivia Rose Dikeman, age 15, passed away at A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital on April 20th, 2023 following complications of a bone marrow transplant stemming from her courageous battle with Diamond-Blackfan Anemia.

Olivia was born in Newark, DE on January 18, 2008. She attended school at Brandywine Springs Elementary School.  She had a passion for playing softball and could be found spending time with her friends at the softball field. She was a member of Chesapeake City Little League, and played on the All Star Team. Olivia loved being near the water, and enjoyed spending time at Dewey Beach and on the Sassafras River. She was a Philadelphia sports fan, and loved the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers, but most importantly the Phillies!

Olivia was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Ray Dikeman. She is survived by her parents Falon (Fontana) and Ernie Beck; her father Michael Dikeman; her twin sister Sophia Dikeman, and her little sister and brother, Avery and Anthony; her maternal grandparents, Ronald and Cynthia Fontana and Ernie and Diane Beck; her paternal grandmother, Sally Dikeman; her beloved dog Remington; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the medical teams from the Hematology/Oncology, 3 East, PICU and Child Life Departments for their outpouring love and care for Olivia during her hospital time.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 26th from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 27th at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Beloved at the address above. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hallie's Heroes
