Natalie Ann Otlowski (Nan), age 86, of Landenberg, PA formerly of Newark, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 28, 2026. She was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Edward R. Newhall and Natalie (Leavens).
She attended the University of Delaware, where she was a proud member of the University’s first graduating nursing class. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ray and they built a beautiful family and made lifelong friends. She began her nursing career in the operating room at Mass General Hospital. Later, she became a school nurse in the Christiana School District.
Together, they raised four children, creating a home filled with laughter, unwavering support, and unconditional love. Family was always at the center of her life, and some of her happiest moments were spent vacationing with those she loved at South Bethany Beach, Delaware, and China Lake, Maine. These places became the backdrop for countless treasured family traditions that will live on for generations. She had a passion for staying active and could be found on the tennis court or enjoying a game of Pickleball with her “peeps”. She treasured the lifelong friendships she built over the years.
She was the proud and devoted grandmother, known as Mema, of six grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Whether cheering from the sidelines or celebrating their accomplishments, she rarely missed an opportunity to support them. Watching them grow and participate in their many sporting events brought her immense joy and pride.
Natalie is survived by her four loving children, Raymond David Otlowski (Kristen), Elizabeth Otlowski, Susan Scala, and Jill Otlowski; her grandchildren, Jamie (Nicole), Natalie, Thomas, Justin, Kaylee, and Daniel; her great granddaughter, Sloane; and her sister, Barbara Stevens (John). She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Joseph Otlowski in 2016 and her sister and husband, Beverly and Jack Curtis.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 8th from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE.
