Nancy Adair Reed, age 83, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Nancy was born on March 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Helen Kosefski. She graduated from Bartram High School and went on to become a homemaker to raise her family. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. In her free time, Nancy enjoyed living at the beach and spending her days crabbing on the Indian River, reading, watching and rooting for the Philadelphia sports teams, playing rummy, and making her grandchildren Clams Casino. In addition to her mother, Nancy was also predeceased by her loving husband, James George Reed.

Nancy is survived by her children, Linda (Bill) Driscoll, James (Dawn) Reed, Helen O'Brien, and Nancy (A.J) Hayden; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Beverly Maffei.

A visitation for Nancy will take place on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may call from 2:30 to 4 P.M. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nancy's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
