Nancy Jean McGinnes

Nancy Jean (Furness) McGinnes, age 78, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday July 30th, 2026, with her granddaughter Kiya and family where she resided the last few years of her life.

Nancy was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Furness). Nancy grew up in the Richardson Park area of Wilmington, DE and graduated from HC Conrad High School.

Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband Harry McGinnes. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Gardner; stepdaughter Dawn and her husband Eddie; grandchildren Kiya, Kira, Karalyn, Kaitlynn; Great grandchildren Kora and Lyssa; siblings Harry, Robbie and his wife Debbie, Danny and his wife Kathy, Joe and his wife Cathy.

Nancy lived a good life and will be dearly missed. She is now able to see her daughter Melissa and swim with the whales she loved so much.
