Obituary

Nancy J. Schneider (Price) Jackson, loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 77, of Newark, DE passed away on July 20th, 2024.

Born in Upper Darby, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Giebler) and John Schneider.  She grew up in Havertown, PA and attended Haverford High School graduating in 1964. She worked for over 25 years at DuPont in Pigments & Logistics, and Transportation & Distribution in their billing department. She enjoyed racing horses with her late husband, Norman, for over 25 years at Dover and Harrington Raceways, along with taking cruises together to Bermuda. Nancy loved EVERYTHING pink, and was a collector of dolls, Precious Moments, Tweety Bird and Cinderella collectibles.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 28 years, Norman L. Jackson, and their beloved dog Duke. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy (Price) and Matt Luongo; her step-daughters Anne (Jackson) and Kevin Dougherty; Paula (Jackson) and Tom Smith; her grandchildren, Devon, Connor, Nikki, Sage, Aiden and Logan; her great grandchildren, Jovie, Moira, Desmond, Brady, Jared, and Shay; her brother and his wife Robert and Leah Schneider; and sister-in-law and her husband, Martha and Al Evans, along with nieces, nephews cousins, extended family and many dear friends.

She was truly an angel that walked this earth dressed in pink and will be missed by many!  May she rest in peace. We love you Nancy, Mom & Mom Mom!!!

Viewing and visitations will be held on Saturday July 27th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held at a later date privately at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Faithful Friends, 165 Airport Rd, New Castle, DE 19720, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
