Mildred Wild, age 88, of Wilmington, De passed away surrounded by her family on January 11, 2023. Born in Clinchport, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nannie (Carter) and Clyde Horton. She worked as a cook and was a homemaker for her five children.

In addition to her parents, Mildred is predeceased by her husband, Carl "Buddy" Wild in 1973. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joe Wild, Anita Smith, Kim and Steve Mathis, Cynthia Robin and Doug Myers and Michael Wild; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flower, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
