Michael A
Zarebicki
November 29, 1947 – July 19, 2023
Michael A. Zarebicki, age 75, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023.
Michael was born in Neumunster, Germany to the late Barbara (Ludzkowski) and Aleksander Zarebicki. He attended the University of Delaware and joined the Army Reserves after graduation. He went on to work for DuPont until his retirement. Michael was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, never missing a turkey shot, but if you ask his son Paul you may get a different story. In addition, he enjoyed relaxing & gardening with his beloved wife Rose at their "Happy Place" vacation home in Harbeson, Delaware. Michael was a shirt off the back & measure twice cut once kinda guy. He could tackle any and all home improvements, even building multiple cars from the ground up. You would catch Michael & Rose down the beach on cool summer nights cruising in their Shelby Cobra, proudly representing the Capital Area Cobra Club. Eagles Sundays were a blast and if you were fortunate enough to be at kielbasa making days, Michael would on occasion dust off his accordion and light the room up with smiles & dancing playing polka music.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Jan Zarebicki and his granddaughter, Lily Zarebicki.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years, Rose Anne (Klosiewicz) Zarebicki; sons, Paul M. Zarebicki (Jill) of Harbeson, DE, and Christopher M. Zarebicki of West Grove, PA; granddaughters (who called him the "Dude"), Kathleen Rose, Kamryn, Anja, and Izabella Rose; and many adored nieces and nephews who were also like his children.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the National Wild Turkey Federation at
