Michael J. Wnenchak, age 93, of Delray Beach FL, formerly of Landenberg, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Michael was born in Mocanaqua, PA, son of the late Tekla (Regec) and Joseph Wnenchak. Mike graduated from Shickshinny High school in 1948 and served our nation honorably in the US Air Force. After returning from the service, Mike moved to Delaware to work for General Motors, retiring after 36 years (1988) from the Tool and Enginering department. In his earlier years, Mike enjoyed fixing cars, bowling, traveling through the United States and Canada with his family, crabbing with his son and grandsons.  He always took pride in meticulously maintaining his house and yard until the age of 91 when he moved to Delray Beach, Florida.  He spent the last two years at Mariposa where he was known as the walker, maintaining daily walks over a mile a day.  In addition to his parents, Mike was also predeceased by his loving wife, Irene (Suchajda) Wnenchak; and sisters, Rose Jackowicz, Mary Kubasek, and Ann Kubasek.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Rosemary (Bob) Crowley, Joann (Ron) Piechowski and son, Raymond (Kristi) Wnenchak; grandchildren, Bryan, Shawn, Christine, Jennifer and Sarah; and great grandchildren Wesley, Cora, Savannah, and Sydney.

A visitation for Michael will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711, where friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
