Michael Paul McNulty, Sr., age 64 of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Deland, FL. Mike was born in Pittston, PA on November 8, 1951 to Estelle "Stella" (Dolbow) and Paul McNulty. He graduated from Christiana High School in 1970. Mike served in the Delaware Army National Guard after high school. Employed by the City of Wilmington, Mike's career featured over 30 years of public service as a firefighter with retirement in July of 2014. He was past president of the Wilmington Professional Firefighters Local 1590 and the Greater Delaware Valley Professional Firefighters Association. He was also a long-time member of the Defiance Athletic Association. An avid golfer, Mike loved spending time on the links with his friends.Mike was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his life partner, Cindy Ell; three children, Molly, Maggie, Michael, Jr. and wife, Carol; brother Gregory McNulty and wife Berni and their four children; former wife and friend Mary Lou McNulty; and many other loving family members and great friends. He drew great joy from spending time with the loves of his life, his five grandchildren, Alexa Cruz, Adriana and Jayden Gonzalez, and Stella and Lucas McNulty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 800 S Clayton St, Wilmington, DE at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
