Michael J. McFarland, age 68, of Wilmington, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Mike was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Patricia (Hare) and Charles McFarland. He graduated from St. Ann's Grade School and St. Elizabeth High School. Mike worked for General Motors for a short while as a painter and became self-employed.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his siblings, Billy, Sandy, Candy and Penny. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia A. (Recchiuti) McFarland; his sons, Sean and Ryan; his siblings, Terry Rubicam (Mike), Linda Downs (Junior), Maureen Godwin (Babe), Charles "Mickey" McFarland (Theresa), Patrick McFarland (Ellen) and Timmy McFarland (Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to favorite charities or Easter Seals at 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, De 19720.
