Michael Marroni, Jr., age 89, of Wilmington, DE passed away surrounded by his family on February 18, 2023.

Born in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Laura (Cirillo) and Michael Marroni, Sr. He played football and baseball in high school and was scouted by the Philadelphia Phillies. He proudly served his country in the Korean War for the United States Navy. Michael worked as a supervisor for over 20 years at Scott Paper Company before embarking on his self-employed career at Framecraft. Michael loved to work and took pride in his picture framing business. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Betty, and his brother, Louis Marroni. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Patille, Leslie Massi (Rob), and Laura Marroni; his grandchildren, Christopher Patille, D.J. Phillips, Melissa Riale (Ray), and William Phillips (Darian); his great grandchildren, Brielle, Brayden, and Archer; and his brother, Peter Marroni (Denise); and his sister, Theresa Hammond (Bert).

Funeral services will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
