Meghjit Mookerjee, age 59, of Newark, Delaware passed away unexpectedly while surrounded by his family early on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Meghjit was born in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India, the son of the late Monika (Banerjee) and Mohajit Mookerjee. He received his master's degree in Information Science Technologies from Wilmington University. Meghjit, his wife, Poppy, and two daughters moved to the United States in August of 1999. After moving around the United States, Meghjit's family settled down in Delaware where he was a program manager for Farmers Insurance. In his free time, he liked to play guitar, tennis, ping pong, photograph gardens, sing karaoke, and travel. Meghjit is survived by his loving wife, Poppy Mookerjee; two daughters; and brother, Indrajit Mookerjee. Services and burial will be held privately.
