Of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at Heartland Hospice House on Friday, June 19, 2015.Born in Preston, England, May was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Craston) Moore. She was married in 1945 in England to the late Ernest V. Giroso and came to live in Delaware just before the end of the war. She worked as a secretary for Banks Optical and later for the University of Delaware. She was a volunteer at Christiana Hospital in the Patient Relations Department. Most important to her was her family and she was known by all as a very nice person.She will be dearly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Maryann Giroso of Newark; two grandchildren, Christopher Giroso and his wife Melanie and Jennifer Giroso; two great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Cole Giroso; and a sister, Gwen Dovey and her husband, John.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 11 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where friends and family are invited to visitation after 10 AM.
