Mary Lynne Chandlee Roderick, 85, of Newark, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023.

Mary was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Margaret J. (McDermott) and Charles A. Chandlee.  She graduated from St. Paul's Commercial School and was a member of St. Elizabeth's parish.  Mary retired in 2000 after 18 years with J.P. Morgan Chase, prior to that she worked for many years at Commercial Union Insurance.  She enjoyed horse racing, playing bingo and cards and watching old westerns.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Chandlee and her brothers-in-law, Robert Heal, Sr., Jerry Dionne, William Aiken, Sr., James Felmey and Charles "Chuck" Heal.

Mary was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her son, Charles "Chuck" Roderick, daughter-in-law, Tonya, and her grandchildren, Charles "CJ" and Kylie, all of Elkton, MD.  Mary is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Helen Dionne, Margaret Aiken, C. Lawrence Chandlee (Eileen), Catherine Felmey, Robert Chandlee (Cecilia (Cis), Evelyn Heal and Diane (Earl) Stoddard and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mary enjoyed an especially close relationship with her nephew, Kevin Heal (Anabel, Braedon) and niece, Courtney Heal (Mike, Grayson, Maverick) and they will all surely miss their "Meems".

Funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
