Mary Redmond
Fenimore
August 9, 1942 – July 27, 2025
Mary Redmond Fenimore, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 27th, 2025. Born in Wilmington on August 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Grace (Ramone) Redmond.
Mary was a proud graduate of Padua Academy, class of 1960. She worked at the Delaware Turnpike when EZ Pass was implemented and was fundamental in getting the system up and running. She lived in West Virginia for several years and was successful in convincing the Township to repair and maintain the roads in her development. Mary moved back to Delaware and worked for a private investigation company, where she provided a list of over 4,000 clients for investigation firms. She was also secretary of the VFW Post 5892 in Hockessin for many years.
Mary is survived by her children, Steven Fenimore (Chrissy), David Fenimore (Marie), and Michele Fenimore Profit (Mike); her beloved grandchild, Christie Matthews (Kenny); and her precious great grandchildren Kaylinn, Michael, and Madelinn. Mary's greatest joy was watching her granddaughter and great grandchildren grow and flourish, whether she was attending birthday parties, school concerts, school awards, or always at the ball fields cheering them on.
Mary is also survived by her siblings, Kathleen Fenimore, Bill Redmond, and Paula Romeo Misselwitz (Jim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Mary's nurse Jennifer at Christiana Care for her exceptional care and dedication. They would also like to thank Accent Care Hospice for their care and guidance in Mary's final days.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 6th from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808.
