Maryellen Sedlacek, 84 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Brackenville Center.

Maryellen was born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Molly (Dwyer) and Frank Mescall. She worked for over 25 years as a cashier and clerk at ShopRite in Stanton and was a member of St. John the Beloved Church. Maryellen's favorite past time in retirement was shopping on QVC… as she called it "QBC". Her husband, Anthony D. Sedlacek passed away in 2018. Maryellen was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Donald Mescall.

Maryellen is survived by her children, Kathleen Bowden, Daniel (Dee) Sedlacek, Timothy Sedlacek and Molli Sedlacek; her grandchildren, Brian and Eric Sedlacek, Kerry Bowden, Kelsey Sedlacek, Anthony and Daniel Dolphin and Abagail Hutchens and her brother, Gerald Mescall.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2022 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington at 10:30 AM, where friends may visit after 10 AM. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
