Marlene R. Kreps (née Blice), age 83, of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Morrow) and Harry Blice, Sr. Marlene was a loving mother, beloved wife, and proud grandmother. She enjoyed vacationing with her husband, David, during the winters in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She also enjoyed reading, playing the piano, and serving Christ as a member of the choir, as a deacon, an elder, and Stephen Minister at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church. She also very much enjoyed the fellowship of the Monday Morning Women's Bible Study.
She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, David Kreps, and brother, Harry Blice, Jr. Marlene is survived by her children and their spouses, Scott and Susan Kreps of Hockessin, DE and David "Greg" and Susan Kreps of Lynden, WA; her grandchildren, Ryan Kreps, Tyler Kreps, Josh Butela (Julia), and Will Butela (Ryann); cousin Bill Morrow and his wife, Kathy, as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennans Church Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to mealeyfuneralhomes.com
