Marlene L. Krajewski

Marlene L. Krajewski, age 82 of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

 Marlene was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Grace (Van Horn) and Preston Hadley. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1962. Shortly after, she married her husband of 64 years, Robert Krajewski. Marlene enjoyed spending time with animals and was a dog groomer at Pike Creek Animal Hospital until she retired.

 Marlene always loved animals. She always had dogs in her life in some fashion. From being an owner, to a groomer, to a patient who was visited by therapy dogs, all of these made her very happy. She was always watching the deer and fox who would use the path near her kitchen window fondly. She also loved shopping, especially for shoes, and zipping around in her little red Audi. She sorely missed it when no longer able to drive. She always had a big heart and was very caring and concerned for others.

 In addition to her parents, Marlene is predeceased by her son Robert “Kelly” Krajewski; and brother Richard (Toby) Hadley. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Krajewski; daughter Dawn McKersie and son-in-law Al; granddaughter, Brooke; brother Preston Hadley; sister-in-law Barbara Hadley, and 6 nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held privately.
