Obituary

Marilin Meekins White, Greenville, Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born in Wilmington to the late Robert Lindley and Marian Lednum Meekins, Marilin attended the University of Delaware. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Delaware, and the Greenville County Club. In addition to her lifelong devotion to family and friends, she cherished her many years volunteering at Winterthur Museum as a House guide, in Membership, and more recently as a docent in the Period Rooms. She also served on the Auxiliary of the Nemours Children's Hospital. She was affiliated with the Delaware Symphony Guild, Breck's Mill Cronies, Lyceum Players and Opera Delaware. In her earlier years, she loved playing tennis and played bridge throughout her life. She also loved Rehoboth Beach and her poodles Bonnie and Belle.

Mrs. White was predeceased by her husband, Henry Evans White in 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth "Betsy" Mitchell; son-in-law, Jeffrey; grandson, Ryan (Kristen); and several cousins.

Friends are invited to gather at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 11:00AM on Saturday April 12, 2025, to honor her memory.
