Marie Walker Rossell, 74, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Marie was born in West Chester, PA, the daughter of the late Marie (Swift) and Richard Proud. She received an Associates Degree from Goldey Beacom College and worked for over 20 years as a financial secretary for A. Felix DuPont Jr. and Family's Financial Business Office, retiring in 2007. Marie was a member of St. John the Beloved Church and did volunteer work for the parish. Her husband, Francis G. Rossell, passed away in 2019.

Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara (Walker) and Darrin Outten of Hockessin; her granddaughters, Stephanie (Outten) and her husband, Andrew Hemm of Camden-Wyoming, and Nicole Outten of Hockessin; her great granddaughter, Layla Hemm; her brothers and their wives, Richard Proud, Jr. and Karen of Cochranville, PA, and Kenneth L. Proud and Diana of Austin, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
