Obituary

Marie Teresa DaVinci, age 91, of Millville, NJ formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 17th, 2023.

Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Buttigieg) and Vincent J. Perry. Marie moved from Chester to Peachtree Drive in Wilmington, DE in 1958 where she lived for 62 years. She moved to Millville, NJ in 2020 when COVID-19 hit to be close to her daughter, living with her for 2 years, prior to moving to Maurice House Assisted Living for the past 15 months. Marie was a homemaker for her two children in addition to spending time as a salesperson for Everfast Stores. She enjoyed years of travel including camping with her family in their younger years, annual trips to Virginia Beach, and trips to Europe with her husband, Clement. She enjoyed playing bingo and dominos with her friends at the Maurice House in Millville and most of all, the company of her friends and family. Marie was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Clement J. DaVinci, Sr.; and her siblings, Vincent J. Perry, Jr., and Charlotte Crouse. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lyn and Walter Phifer and Clement J. Jr. and Vera DaVinci; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; her brother, Joseph C. Perry, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 31st from 10:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to support Marie's daughter, LynAnn, as she walks in memory of her mother and the battle she won against breast cancer, in the Susan G.
