Marianne Bors Kellner, age 77, of Wilmington, DE passed away on June 18th, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, Marianne was the daughter of the late Catherine (Lynam) and Jesse Bors. She proudly grew up in Elsmere and graduated from Corpus Christi High School.  She went on to study at the University of Delaware, receiving a bachelor's degree in English and a Master's Degree in Instruction. Marianne continued her studies, eventually earning her Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from UD.  A born teacher, she spent many years working in the parochial school system before transitioning to the public school system, eventually retiring from the Red Clay School District.

Marianne is survived by her daughter, Christine Kellner Ledebur, and son-in-law, G. Paul Ledebur; her grandchildren, Emma and Abby Ledebur; her sister-in-law, Carol Bors; her niece, Kristina Bors Murtha; and her extended family, the Connell family, the Schiavello family, and the Hutton family. Marianne was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Jesse Bors; and her brother, Robert Bors.

A visitation will be held on July 2nd, 2024 from 10A.M. to 11A.M with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 A.M at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 905 New Rd, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to mealeyfuneralhomes.com.
