Age 85, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Shipley Manor.Born in Wilmington, Peggy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Hampel) Dale. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stanley T. Czajkowski, in 2007; by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Mary, Edward, and Francis and Elvira; and by her brother-in-law, Ernest Korber.She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Annetta Dale of Wilmington and Louise Korber of Newark; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.After graduating from Christ Our King and St. Elizabeth High School, Peggy was employed by the Hercules Powder Company, later devoting her time to her husband's law practice on Market Street in Wilmington.Peggy and Stan were introduced by his sister Louise and enjoyed 50 years of marriage. During summers, they loved life at the shore in Longport, NJ, and were always happy to share their home there with family and friends. Later in life, Peggy and Stan retired to the golf town of Pinehurst, NC, yet still returned for summers in Longport. Peggy enjoyed golf and tennis, and was always up for a competitive game of Scrabble or Chinese checkers. She loved to travel, and one of her favorite spots was Puerto Rico.Peggy always made time for others, and she spent many years volunteering for the Mancus Foundation. She was loving and generous, and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.The family would like to thank all of the staff at Shipley Manor who assisted Peggy over the last six years, ensuring that she remained comfortable always.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, where friends and family are invited to visitation after 9 AM.
