Obituary

Margaret M. (Clark) Truman of Wilmington, DE passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She had just turned 68 years old. She was born on April 19, 1953 to the late John V. Clark and Theresa C. (Goralski) Clark. Margaret Truman was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, mom-mom, great mom-mom, and aunt. Although she worked, she would have left work in a heartbeat if a child or grandchild needed her. Day or night, she would go anywhere to get out of the house or help someone in need because family was the most important thing to Margaret. She always had food on hand at her house, so any grandchild coming would have something to choose from. Margaret loved to make cookies, bread, soups and stews to feed an army. Everyone could always rely on Margaret to be there whenever needed. Margaret loved playing cards, games (especially Trouble), and going to car shows. She took great pride in the '69 Ford camper special her son restored. She loved to gamble: slots, cards with her father, bets with her kids/grandkids, or anyone willing to have some fun. Margaret will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her brother Harry J. Clark Sr. Margaret is survived by her husband, Ellwood Truman Sr. of 49 years; her son, Ellwood Truman Jr. (Kimberley); her daughters, Shannon Schaffer (Ed), and Trisha Pedrick (Mark); her grandchildren, Guy Blansfield (Shianna), Marissa Truman, Crystal Truman, RJ Ohrt, PFC Kara Brumbaugh, Cheyenne Pedrick, Ellwood Truman III, Quinn Pedrick, and John Schaffer; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jayden, Mia, Xander, and a precious new baby on the way. She was also very loved by additional family, and such a wonderful friend to so many others. A visitation will be held at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE on Thursday, May 6, from 5 to 7 PM, and again on Friday, May 7 from 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by a service. Burial will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
