Age 94, of Willow Street, PA, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at The Glen, at Willow Valley.Born in Wilmington, DE, Margaret was the daughter of the late Clifford R. and Alice (Hoffecker) Lynam. She served her country proudly in the US Army WACS during World War II from 1943 to 1946 in Dayton Beach as a clerk, then in Fort Bragg, NC, discharged as a Staff Sgt.A graduate of Goldey Beacom College, she worked as an accountant in the credit offices of Sears. She was an active member of the choir of St Mark's United Methodist Church for many years and a member of Mid-County Senior Center. In 2003, Margaret moved to Willow Valley Retirement Community. For years she traveled extensively with friends, who knew her as Peg. She was a multi-talented artist, working with many mediums. Later wintering in Arizona where she worked on her artwork, then returning each spring to PA.Predeceased by her husband William A. Richey and her three brothers, Russell, Willard and Bernard Lynam.She is survived by her brother, C. Robert Lynam, Jr of Newark, DE; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.A committal service will be held on Tuesday June 7th at 1 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
