Margaret W. LaMedica, age 87, of Wilmington, DE passed away on May 29th, 2024. Born in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ellen (Lee) and Michael Murphy. Margaret was a homemaker for her four children and her husband of 67 years, John. She enjoyed reading and could often be found at her local library checking out or returning new books. Margaret was dedicated to her children and grandchildren and was known for her "yellow sweater story". She was passionate about her Irish heritage and her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her large and loving family.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Mary Murphy, and brother, Michael Murphy. She is survived by her husband, John LaMedica, Sr, with whom she would have celebrated 68 years of marriage in September; her children and their spouses, John and Susan LaMedica, Christine Janvier and Steve Smith, Stephen LaMedica, and Megan and David Ciafardo; her grandchildren, Danielle, Nick, Gabrielle, and Adriana; her great grandchildren, Cole and Callie; and her sisters, Joan Kelly and Eileen Neville (Tim).

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 5th, from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30 A.M., at Corpus Christi, 905 New Rd, Wilmington, DE 19805. Burial will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284.
