Margaret T. Kelly, 88 of Newark passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.Margaret was born in County Clare, Ireland, the daughter of Ann (Boland) and John Woods. She immigrated to America where she met the love of her life, Robert S. Kelly, Lt. Commander US Navy. They shared 50 years of marriage before Bob's death in 2001. She will be remembered for her sweet demeanor and devotion to her family. A woman of strong faith, Peggy is "in a better place."Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert and Lisa Kelly of Newark and Theresa and Chris Holm of Simsbury, CT; her grandchildren, Kyle (Lindsay), Christopher and Bryan Kelly, Trevor (Allison) and Leslie Fisher, great-grandson Carter Jack Kelly and her brother, Jack Kelly of Co. Clare, IRE. She is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Ann and five siblings including her beloved sister, Christine McNamara.The family would like to thank the nurses at Manor Care, Limestone Road for Peggy's care during the last three years.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Mary of The Assumption Church at the address above.
