Margaret M. Habbart, age 95, Bear, DE, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Margaret (Peggy) was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Margaret (Kraus) and James Dugan.  Margaret worked a short time as an administrator for an engineering firm and later in life owned a bookstore, but most importantly, she was a homemaker for her six children. Margaret enjoyed trips with her family to their beach house, known fondly as White House Beach, on the Indian River Bay in Long Neck. Additionally, she loved Delaware Park, Atlantic City, and the few trips she had taken to Las Vegas. She was an avid Phillies fan and watched every game.  Margaret loved all animals, especially dogs. Above all, Margaret loved her children, grandchildren and family.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Joseph B. Habbart; her children; Nancy Woznicki, Lynn Healy, and Joseph Habbart; and siblings, Patsy Farren, Geraldine Baker, and Katherine Eastburn.

Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses, Jan and Jack Kinsella, James Woznicki, and Jerome "Jerry" and Kathy Woznicki; son-in-law, Matthew Healy; sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Leon Green; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice and Safiya Bethea at Loving & Caring HCA for their compassion and care for Margaret in the days and weeks leading up to her passing.

A visitation will be held on Monday December 19, 2022 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE 19804 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 500 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
