Margaret "Claire" Cost, age 82, of Elkton, MD, formerly of Philadelphia and Cedar Run, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Claire was born in Harrisburg, PA, daughter of the late Helen (McCrossin) and Melvin Palmer. Claire graduated from high school in Philadelphia, and became a homemaker to raise her family. Claire was very talented at crocheting and knitting and loved to share her talents by making stuffed animals, blankets, and caps for newborn children, family, and friends. She also enjoyed reading and assembling Lego projects. After becoming a widower, Claire enjoyed her peace and quiet in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, living in Cedar Run. In addition to her parents, Claire is predeceased by her loving husband, William Frederick Cost; brother, William Palmer; and sister, Helen Steenson.

Claire is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Margaret Claire Badulak (Walter) and Janet Ann Pfeiffer (Steve); son, William Frederick Cost, Jr.; grandchildren Dennis Badulak, Casey Badulak, Alex Badulak, Ella Cost, Sophia Cost, and Zachary Pfeiffer; sister, Diane Felock; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and close family friends, all of whom she loved.

There will be a funeral service for family and friends at 9:00 AM on January 6th at the Crossroads Fellowship Church, 1404 N. Hills Ave., Willow Grove, PA. Burial will be in Cedar Run, PA at a later date, to be determined..

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Claire's name to your local Hospice.
