Margaret "Peggy" Comegys, age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Margaret was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Anna Margaret (Buckalew) and Willard Morgan. She graduated from Brown Technical High School before attending Delaware Technical College for Nursing. She started her career at Delaware hospital and then Christiana hospital as a registered nurse. She also worked at multiple nursing homes across Delaware as an administrator and instructor later in her career. Margaret eventually finished her professional career working at Strawbridges and Macys.

Margaret's greatest joys in life were her family and her late husband of 60 years, Wayne Comegys who she met in the Diamond State Drum and Bugle Corps. She also loved her pets dearly along with all other animals and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret is predeceased by her sisters Betty Malinowski and Maryellen Mackiewicz.

She is survived by her son William Comegys of New Castle, DE; and her sisters Barbara Machinton, Mildred Mason, and Edith Schultz.

Family and friends are invited to Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE, 19808 on Monday, August 18, 2025, for a visitation from 10:30AM to 11:30AM, with funeral services beginning at 11:30AM. Burial to follow a Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
