Margaret L. (Elechko) Chandler, 83, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2022 at Regal Heights Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Brisbin, PA, the daughter of Frederick B. Merritt and Henrietta S. Merritt.

She graduated from the University of Delaware and began teaching elementary school & did so for approximately 30 years. Later in life, she decided to obtain her Master's Degree from the University of Delaware.

She was a member of Saint Catherine's church and truly enjoyed singing in the choir.

Margaret was universally adored by all. Her smile, kindness, & generosity will be sorely missed.

Margaret was predeceased by her spouses - George P. Elechko, Jr. and Wren C. Chandler, her parents - Frederick B. Merritt and Henrietta S. Merritt, her sister Francis D. Rusher, her brother Frederick C. Merritt, and her daughter Susan J. Elechko.

She is survived by her sisters – Jessamin White and Dorothy Koss (Eugene Koss), her brother Ernest L. Merritt, her son David S. Elechko (Margaret O. Elechko), her granddaughter Iris C. Elechko, her granddaughter Jacqueline M. Figgs (Robert L. Figgs), her great-granddaughter Rhianna J. Figgs, her step-son Gordon Chandler (Connie Chandler), her step-grandchildren Brian Chandler and Greg Chandler (Evonne Chandler), and her step-daughter Elaine Chandler (Shawn McVicker).

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
