Malcolm Lee Brotman, Sr., age 70, of Newark, DE passed away surrounded by his family on May 27th, 2023. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, he was the son of the late Margaret Brotman. Malcolm worked as a self-employed plumber and pipefitter prior to his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and had a love of animals.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his aunt, Dorothy Shedoff. Malcolm is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharlene Brotman; and his children and their spouses, Malcom Lee Jr. and Rhiannon Bertollo, and Joseph and Andrea Brotman; his grandchildren, Jacob, Aiden, Taylor, Grady, and Iyla; five sisters and one brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers and due to Malcolm's love of animals, the family suggests donations to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804. Funeral services will be held privately.
