Lucia Ann Kerr "LuAnn", 65 of Townsend passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Thursday, October 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. LuAnn was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Rose M. (Albertini) and John Glenn. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1974 and was primarily a homemaker for her family. Among other occupations, she worked part-time at PartyLand and the St. Mark's High School Bookstore. She enjoyed bowling in Thursday morning leagues at the Newark and Pleasant Hill Lanes, family vacations to Myrtle Beach, and spending as much time as possible with her grandbabies. LuAnn was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church serving on the Carnival Committee and as a Eucharistic Minister. LuAnn will be dearly missed by her husband of 44 years, Donald J. Kerr; her sons and their wives, Donald Jr. and Michelle of North Wales, PA and Brian and Jillian of West Chester, PA; her grandchildren Riley, Mason, Lily and Addison; her brothers and sisters-in-law, John Glenn, Jr. and Terry of Lewisville, TX and Tony and Ronna Glenn of Newark and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the nursing staff at Christiana Hospital for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear-Christiana Road, Bear, DE at 10:30 AM. Masks will be required in Church and there will be no viewing. Burial will be private. A celebration of LuAnn's life will be held at a later date.
