Born on September 7, 1928, Louise passed away on July 20, 2021 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her parents, Anita and Stanley Catts; her brother, Stanley Catts, Jr.; her husband, William Prizer; and son-in-law, Bob Zimmerman. Early in life, she enjoyed singing with the Ardensingers and The Brandywiners. Louise retired from the law firm Morris, Nichols, Arsht and Tunnell after 25 years of service. She retired to the Gulf Coast of Florida, only to return home when her husband became ill. She is survived by her children, Diane Love (Ken), Linda Hicks (John), Cheryl Zimmerman, John F. Vernon, Jr., and Thomas S. Vernon; her grandchildren, Blake Vai, Jason Smith (Ashley), Rebecca Richmond (Dan), Kristina Stuckert (Ryan), Lauri Grupka (Mike), Jay Hicks (Kristen), Beth Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Stephen Hicks, Chad Zimmerman (Katie), Brett Vernon, and Todd Vernon; and her great grandchildren, Alexus, Aidan, Keenan, Storm, Ben, Eliza, Kevin, Eliot, Ebon, Quinn, Aria, and Graham. The family would like to thank Kirkwood Library for their kindness in obtaining the many hundreds of books they provided, and always with a smile. A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone Road, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. Burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Bear, DE.
