Lorean M. Davenport, age 78 of Wilmington, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Lorean was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Betty May (Hitchens) and Lemuel C. Mumford. Lorean worked at Christiana Care as a data entry specialist until her retirement. Lorean had a soft spot for animals, especially her dog, and was a long-time supporter of the Delaware Humane Society. In her free time, Lorean enjoyed gardening and visiting craft fairs, where she would get ideas for her own crafting projects. In addition to her parents, Lorean was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Davenport; and brother, Francis Benson.

Lorean is survived by her son, David William Betts; sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Elaine Abbot Wade; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom she all loved.

Funeral services for Lorean will be held privately.
