Lois A. Johnson, age 85, Hockessin, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Lois was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Meyer) and Joseph H. McLaughlin. She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School and was the president of her sorority for two years. She attended Delaware Nursing School and was a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Wilmington General Hospital and later at the then-brand-new Christiana Hospital until her retirement. She was a big sports fan and also never missed her children's games and attended as many of her grandchildren's performances and games as possible.  She also was a big Eagles and 76ers fan. She was kind and cheerful, a good listener, and the perfect loving wife and mother.  In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Ronald A. McLaughlin; and niece, Kelly L. McLaughlin.

Lois is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Clifford B. Johnson; sons and their spouses, Michael and Maryann, Stephen and Mary, and Jeffrey and Renee; grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, Christopher, Cobie Ray, and Fiona; brother, Kevin J. McLaughlin; niece, Stephanie; nephews, Sean and Ronald; and numerous close family friends whom she all loved.

A visitation will be held from 9:00AM – 10:00AM on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711, with a Mass beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Lois's name to the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington's "Share In The Spirit" catholic education tuition assistance fund, P.O Box 2030, Wilmington, DE 19809.
